Adverse Childhood Experiences Data
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are stressful events in a child's life that happen before they turn 18 that have potential to impact their future health and well-being.

In these data modules, we summarize eight thoroughly researched ACEs. We acknowledge that many adverse experiences not listed here can impact a child's future well-being. The ACEs we summarize are:
- Parental incarceration
- Alcohol misuse in the child's household
- Illegal drug use or misuse of prescription drugs in the child's household
- The struggle with depression and other mental illnesses in the child's household
- Emotional abuse
- Physical abuse
- Domestic violence (of a relative or non-relative)
- Sexual abuse
