This website is organized around a set of practices that health departments across the United States have used to advance health equity. The site explains 15 strategic practices in detail, and supports each with case studies and recommended action steps.
The case studies describe what the health department did, identify what factors helped the health department do the work, and share advice the health department's advice for others. You can view the case studies alphabetically by health department or by practice.
The website also includes a database of resources for health departments to advance these strategic practices. You can search these resources by strategic practice, by type of resource, or by topic.

The authors indicated that HealthEquityGuide.org is not intended to be a step-by-step manual, but rather a resource for health departments who are prioritizing health equity and are looking for information on how to be forward.
