Supplemental Nursing Services Agency
This page contains information for providers who register and operate as a Supplemental Nursing Services Agency (SNSA) in Minnesota. An SNSA is a person, corporation, partnership, limited liability company or association engaged for hire in the business of providing or procuring temporary employment in health care facilities for nurses, nursing assistants, nurse aides, and orderlies.
For a current list of registered SNSAs, see the Health Care Provider Directory. Licensed health care facilities and providers may use only these SNSAs. If an SNSA you wish to use is not listed, please contact us.

As of August 1, 2022, providers holding a valid license from a health-related licensing board (HLB) who have also undergone a background check under Minn. Statutes 214.075, shall not have a background study completed by the commissioner of human services (a NETStudy 2.0 background study).

Please read and understand all applicable documents, statutes, and rules listed below before registering as a Supplemental Nursing Services Agency.
Please do not use this form to renew a current registration. Currently registered agencies will receive separate notification and instructions for renewal from the Department of Health.
