Health Plan Information - Accountable Provider Networks (APN)
An Accountable Provider Network (APN) is defined as a group of health care providers organized to market health care services on a risk-sharing or non risk-sharing basis with a health care purchasing alliance. APNs will be regulated by the Minnesota Department of Health through all rulemaking and enforcement powers under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 62N. To obtain a license from the Minnesota Department of Health an entity must complete and submit an application and meet the requirements of relevant statutes and rules.
APNs are licensed pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, chapter 62T. Currently there are no licensed APNs in the State of Minnesota.
