2025 National Maternal Nutrition Intensive Course
The distance option for the National Maternal Nutrition Intensive Course will be available from September 1-December 31. This continuing education program focuses on the improvement of maternal and infant health through the delivery of risk-appropriate high-quality nutrition services. The last day to register is November 30.

Registration for MDH Trainings
Registration for on-demand learning is held in the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Learning Center. Each individual staff member will need to log in or follow the instructions to create their own account and register for a prerecorded webinar or training.
NOTE: When registering in the MDH Learning Center, please include the name of the organization that you work for and your professional role. (RD, RN, WIC CPA, PEER, etc.)
To Locate Trainings: Log on to the MDH Learning Center and search keyword “WIC” to view and register for available trainings. Detailed information about the training can be found on the registration page.

WIC Foods and Shopping Experience*
Details: Minnesota WIC is offering a live WIC Foods and Shopping Experience training webinar. It will be offered quarterly. One CPEU credit will be awarded for taking this training. There is no reason to attend additional sessions, as the same information will be presented at every session. These sessions WILL NOT be recorded. Erin Kelsey from the Vendor Team, and Mary Frances Guiney from the Nutrition Team will be the presenters.
Upcoming dates for the training sessions:
- POSTPONED: The session scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. has been postponed. A new date will be announced in a future Wednesday Email.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Training
Date: Friday, January 20, 2026, from 9- 10 a.m.
Register for: Understanding FASD: Strategies for Supporting Families and Raising Awareness
Presenter: Proof Alliance, a nonprofit organization solely focused on prenatal alcohol exposure and FASD.
Details: This presentation was developed for the Minnesota Department of Health, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) and Family Home Visiting (FHV) program staff to support them in the work that they do with families. The presentation will give staff a better understanding of both Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and Prenatal Alcohol Exposure (PAE), how they impact brain development, ways to avoid stigma, and how to engage families in conversations to provide support.

Lesson in WIC- Case Studies
Registration details: Case study webinars for CPAs are live virtual sessions that repeats the content monthly for three months. There will be a new topic quarterly. No registration required; staff may attend the session that best meets their availability. All CPAs are encouraged to join and can expect a judgement free zone where there are no wrong answers! Sessions will not be recorded.

Continue education credits will be offered. Each individual staff member may only receive continuing education credits for one case study session each quarter.
