Chapter 4732 Ionizing Radiation

The Minnesota Department of Health , Radiation Control, X-ray Unit is considering amendments and possible new rules to Ionizing Radiation, Minnesota Rules, Chapter 4732. This rulemaking will update the current rules to address advances in equipment technology, scope of practice for operators of x-ray equipment, service provider responsibilities, inspection requirements, and other related matters.

The X-Ray Rulemaking has been on hold since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. We appreciate your patience during this time and appreciate your continued interest in this rulemaking. MDH intends to resume work on this rulemaking in 2024.
