Health Equity
Minnesota is often recognized as one of the healthiest states, but health outcomes and access to resources are not equitably distributed across communities. People of color, American Indians, LGBTQ+ communities, individuals with disabilities, immigrants and refugees, and residents in rural areas face barriers rooted in decades of systemic inequities. Minnesota is working to address health inequities as part of a broad spectrum of public investments in housing, education, economic opportunity, and other conditions for health.
