Remodeling Projects at an Ambulatory Surgical Center
A Medicare-certified ambulatory surgical center that has a remodeling project such as adding a surgical suite, remodeling waiting area, etc. should do the following:
- See Engineering Services for Plan Review Submittal Process.
- Engineer will send the Licensing and Certification Program a notice regarding the remodeling project. Licensing and Certification will send a request for survey to the State Fire Marshal.
- When Licensing and Certification receives the clearances from Engineering and State Fire Marshal, they will issue a clearance letter effective the date of the last clearance.
