Community Solutions for Healthy Child Development Request for Proposals (RFP) 2023

The Center for Health Equity, in close partnership with the Community Solutions Advisory Council, released a request for proposals (RFP) for the Community Solutions for Healthy Child Development grants in January 2023. This grant program was created to fund community-based solutions for challenges related to healthy child development that are identified by communities of color and American Indian communities.

The application period has closed.  For reference, the 2023 RFP provides funding details and application requirements: Community Solutions for Healthy Child Development Grant Request for Proposals (PDF).

Funding decisions

Final funding decisions were made based on recommendations by the Community Solutions Advisory Council and state employees in April 2024. All applicants were immediately notified. State law prohibits the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) from sharing the names of those selected for funding until negotiations for all grant agreements are completed. A list of those selected for funding will be posted on this page when the names of those selected for funding become available.

Timeline

RFP published: Jan. 3, 2024
Questions due: Feb. 5, 2024 (by 4:30 p.m. CT) - optional
Applications due: Feb. 14, 2024 (by 11:59 p.m. CT)
Anticipated notice of award: April 2024 
Grant period begins: May 2024 (or when grant agreement is fully executed, whichever is later)

The question and answer period closed on Feb. 5, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. CT. Please refer to Community Solutions for Healthy Child Development RFP Questions and Answers for a complete list of answers to questions that were submitted.

To ensure all applicants have access to the same information, questions submitted after Feb. 5 will neither be answered nor posted to the website.
