Be Meditation Group | Be Meditation Group (BMG), a BIPOC and woman-owned nonprofit, began in June of 2016 with a single purpose – to promote and support organizations bringing meditation, mindfulness, and awareness-based practices into mainstream culture. Hope Dental Clinic | Hope Dental provides free care for uninsured, low-income community members. We serve patients of all ages who have fallen through other safety nets – many of whom come to us in pain to receive dental care that is long overdue. Of patients surveyed last year, 19% had either never been to a dentist or their last visit was more than five years ago. Korean Adoptees Ministry Center | Korean Adoptees Ministry Center (KAMCenter), founded in 2000, is a non-profit organization providing vital services to Korean adoptees in Minnesota, recognized as the Korean Adoptee Homeland. Over the years, 15,000 to 20,000 Korean children have found homes in MN families. International adoption brings profound issues such as identity, belonging, trust, racial dynamics, trauma, neglect, and grief. To respond these issues, KAM Center provides cultural education and connection, mental health related services, trip to Korea, educational workshops, crisis intervention services, and sensitivity trainings for teachers, faith groups and gate keepers. | Seven Metro Area Counties |
MAD DADs of Minneapolis | The mission of the Minneapolis Chapter of Men Against Destruction is Defending Against Drugs and Social Disorder (MAD DADS) is to serve the community with integrity and dedication by providing safety, positive youth programming, and job creation. Focused primarily on the African American community of Minneapolis, our organization keeps our community safe by creating alternative employment for our community members. We employ and train people who have been impacted by the criminal justice system. Minnesota Deaf Muslim Community | Minnesota Deaf Muslim Community (MDMC) has worked to ensure effective access to communication, education, and resources for the most disenfranchised members of the Deaf, DeafPlus (deaf with additional disabilities) and Hard of Hearing community, especially those who are Black, Indigenous, or other people of color (BIPOC).
