Minnesota Statewide Health Improvement Framework
In 2024, the Healthy Minnesota Partnership is developing the next statewide health improvement framework in response to the statewide health assessment.
Health priority workgroups kick-off this fall!
The Healthy Minnesota Partnership is convening workgroups to propose objectives and strategies to inform the improvement framework. The workgroups will include members from across sectors and people with lived experiences and will meet approximately five times between October and December this year.

Through a lot of work and community engagement earlier this year, the Partnership identified four potential health priority areas for four workgroups during the Sept. 10 Partnership meeting:
- Mental health & well-being
- Housing and homelessness
- Health care systems (potentially focused on access and/or culturally competent care)
- Substance use
The Partnership is currently using community input from the health priorities survey and community conversations to inform decisions about health priorities, objectives, and strategies and will report back on how input was used in 2025.
Thank you for taking the Health Priorities Survey and participating in community conversations!
The Partnership uses community input to help inform the priorities for the next improvement framework.
The Health Priorities Survey received 717 responses. It was open from July 25 through Aug. 22, 2024. It was available in English and Spanish.
The Healthy Minnesota Partnership hosted six virtual community conversations with about 85 participants from July 8 to 17.

What is the statewide health improvement framework?
The statewide health improvement framework is a multi-year action plan to address prioritized issues that the Healthy Minnesota Partnership identifies together. It is in response to the statewide health assessment and reflects a collaborative, community-driven planning and implementation process.
