TB Statistics

The MDH TB Prevention and Control Program prepares quarterly and annual reports summarizing the demographic and clinical characteristics of the cases of TB disease reported in Minnesota. These reports describe the epidemiology of TB in Minnesota, including the incidence of TB disease by county, age, race/ethnicity, country of origin, drug susceptibility patterns, and other factors. To request data, please see STD/HIV/TB Data and Presentation Request.

  • Tuberculosis Quarterly Surveillance Report, Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2024
    Quarterly summary of the epidemiology of the confirmed cases of TB disease reported to the Minnesota Department of Health from Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2024. Updated 2/2025
    Note: Starting 2025, quarterly surveillance reports will be replaced by semi-annual reports.

  • Antimicrobial Susceptibility of Selected Pathogens in Minnesota
    This "antibiogram" provides drug-specific data on the prevalence of antimicrobial susceptibilities of selected pathogens, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis, in Minnesota. Past reports date back to 1998.
     
  • Annual Summary of Tuberculosis Reported to the Minnesota Department of Health
    MDH collects disease surveillance information on certain communicable diseases, including TB to determine disease impact, assess trends in disease occurrence, characterize affected populations, prioritize disease control efforts, and evaluate disease prevention strategies.

  • NCHHSTP Atlas
    Access data reported to CDC's National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP). Use HIV, STD, hepatitis, and TB data to create maps, charts, and detailed reports, and analyze trends and patterns.
