Syphilis Is On the Rise
The CDC: STI Data and Statistics highlights the urgency of continuously increasing reported cases of syphilis nationwide, and in Minnesota (Syphilis Outbreak Response and Case Counts). Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease that if left untreated, can be harmful and cause serious long-term health consequences. All communities in Minnesota should be vigilant, recognize the presence of syphilis, and take steps to get the word out about screening and prevention. Learn more at Syphilis.

STI Awareness Month
April is sexually transmitted disease/infection (STD/STI) month the United States. STIs are treatable, and many are curable. STIs are common, visit STI Statistics for Minnesota-specific data. However, many STIs are asymptomatic, so many people do not get tested. STD/STI Awareness month is a great opportunity to get the word out about getting tested and treated. The resources below may be used during STI Awareness Month.
