Safe Sleep Certified Hospitals and Birth Centers

Minnesota Department of Health congratulates the following hospitals and birth centers in Minnesota on receiving infant safe sleep designation through Cribs for Kids® the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program. This program certifies and recognizes hospitals that are committed to demonstrating leadership by implementing evidence-based practices to promote infant sleep safety in their facilities.

Gold Level:

  • Hennepin Healthcare 
  • Ridgeview Medical Center

Silver Level:

  • Sanford Luverne Medical Center 
  • St. Luke’s Hospital

You can view the map of safe sleep certified hospitals in Minnesota at the Cribs for Kids® website.

The National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program offers three levels of designation: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each level comprises of systems, community, and patient-level infant safe sleep strategies to reduce the risk of sleep-related sudden unexpected infant death (SUID).
