Grief and Loss Support

The loss of a baby can be devastating. The good news is that help is available to Minnesota families who have experienced a stillbirth (pregnancy loss) or an infant death.

  • Star Legacy Foundation: Star Legacy Foundation connects with families who have experienced an infant death or a stillbirth to grief and loss support services. To learn more about the services, visit Star Legacy Foundation or call 952-715-7731.
  • Parents of Stillborn Children Credit: Parents who experience the stillbirth of a child in Minnesota may be eligible for a refundable credit of $2,000.
  • MDH Perinatal Mental Health Support: Resources are available to help birthing people, families, friends, and health professionals better understand, support, and treat prenatal or postpartum mental health disorders, including experiencing infant loss.
