Guidance for Health Professionals
International Travel & Infectious Disease

Travelers’ health clinics can provide comprehensive travelers’ health services, particularly for those with complicated travel plans, underlying medical conditions, and those who are visiting friends and relatives (VFR). A list of travel clinics in Minnesota can be found at International Travel Health Clinics Serving Minnesota Residents.

Visiting a travel clinic is not always possible for various reasons. Therefore, primary care providers should be able to provide basic travelers’ health care, especially for VFR travelers.
