Description: These one-hour virtual sessions will cover real-life scenarios to help WIC CPAs recognize and manage common nutrition concerns. Instructors will guide participants through identifying risk and preparing the plan of care. Staff will move to breakout rooms to practice skills, including how to assess risk, formulate questions, prioritize education, and make appropriate referrals. Resources will be offered as a takeaway for attendees’ continued learning.
Learning goals:
- Identify areas of risk.
- Practice moving from assessment to education.
- Develop a plan of care.
- Understand resources and referrals that are relevant.
Registration details: Case study webinars for CPAs are live virtual sessions that repeat the content monthly for three months. A new topic will be introduced quarterly. No registration required; staff may attend the session that best meets their availability. All CPAs are encouraged to join and can expect a judgment-free zone where there are no wrong answers! Sessions will not be recorded.
Continuing education credits will be offered. Each staff member may only receive continuing education credits for one case study session each quarter.
NOTE: The quarterly case study and its resources will be posted on this webpage at the end of each series. If you plan to bring this training back to your team, we recommend that at least one member of your staff attend the live presentation to support a train-the-trainer approach.
