Background
Objectives
Background
- Because intrapartum antibiotics are a strategy used in the prevention of neonatal GBS disease, it is important to evaluate the impact of antibiotics on the incidence of early-onset neonatal sepsis, including non-GBS disease on the occurrence of antibiotic-resistant neonatal pathogens.
Objectives
- Determine the incidence and causes of neonatal sepsis
- Determine the antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of organisms causing neonatal sepsis
- Determine the impact of intrapartum antibiotic use on neonatal sepsis
