Current trainings
Introduction to CUES
CUES, which stands for confidentiality, universal education, empowerment, and support, an evidence-based and trauma-informed intervention for family home visiting staff to talk about and address domestic and sexual violence. This training is intended for new home visitors funded by MDH family home visiting grants who did not attend the Connected Parents, Connected Kids training on July 20-21 and Sept. 26-27, 2023.

Introduction to Using the Ages and Stages Questionnaires
Intended for family home visitors who want an introduction to understanding the use and purpose of these developmental and social emotional screening tools. Participants will also learn how to accurately choose, score, and interpret the questionnaires correctly. A live webinar offering a combined training on the ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2 will be offered quarterly. Registration is required and all participants must have access to the ASQ-3 & ASQ:SE-2 starter kits from Brookes Publishing either individually or through their employing agency. - The Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals is a free online training resource that offers Family Support Professionals everywhere the opportunity to learn new skills and grow their careers. Use the site’s ‘Your Compass’ tool to assess current knowledge using the National Family Support Competency Framework. When completed, the results are mapped to a personal Career Compass Learning Map which guides home visitors toward the site’s most relevant e-learning modules to develop their highest level of proficiency.
